Location Decisions to join Site Selectors Guild European Conference in Riga

Location Decisions will take part in the Site Selectors Guild European Conference, taking place in Riga on 29 October 2026.

Bringing together site selection consultants, investment promotion professionals and economic development leaders, the conference will focus on the trends and constraints shaping corporate location decisions across Europe and beyond. The program will cover topics including the future of foreign investment, AI and FDI, energy availability, clean growth, semiconductors and the relationship between site selectors and investment promotion agencies.

Andreas Dressler, Managing Director of Location Decisions, will contribute to three sessions throughout the day. Andreas will moderate the opening session, “Poll Position – Mapping the FDI Market,” an interactive discussion using live audience polling to explore current priorities, experiences and expectations across the FDI market. He will also moderate the panel discussion “Delicate Duel – Exploring the Site Selector–IPA Dynamic.” The session will bring site selectors and investment promotion professionals together for a candid discussion on expectations, common misconceptions and what makes for an effective working relationship throughout an investment project. In the afternoon, he will also participate in the “Clean Growth” deep dive, examining investment trends, opportunities and project types emerging from the global transition toward renewable energy, cleantech and sustainable industries.

The conference offers an opportunity for practical exchange between those attracting investment and the consultants advising companies on where to locate and expand.
